Neel Master
Institutional Development Manager
Neel Master is an activist dedicated to economic, social, and gender justice. He joined MAG in 2004 as Program Associate, and in his current role as Institutional Development Manager, leads MAG’s marketing and external communications, internal knowledge and data management, and a variety of efforts to incorporate new technologies into MAG’s consulting practice.
Neel is lead author of the MAG publications Boards Matter and Advancing Your Cause Through the People You Manage.
Prior to joining MAG, Neel was a college activist who led a successful campaign to change his college’s purchasing policy to ensure that none of its logo apparel came from sweatshops. Neel sees his work at MAG as an extension of his interest in new strategies for creating justice.
“MAG works with so many different organizations and movements and contexts,” he says, “so we have the benefit of a birds-eye view of activism and systemic social change. I love exploring new ways to bring our lessons and insights to as many people as we can.”
