MAG consultants to appear at Alliance for Nonprofit Management Annual Conference

MAG consultants Inca A. Mohamed, Robin Katcher, Susan Gross, and Mark Leach will be presenting at the Annual Conference of the Alliance for Nonprofit Management.  The conference will be held in Dearborn, MI, from July 9-11, 2008.

Inca Mohamed and Robin Katcher will be speaking on the panel Movement Building: Exploring the Capacity Builder's Role with Social Movement Organizations. The interactive panel will begin from the observation that “organizational capacity building alone does not build social movement organizations” and explore the ways that this plays into practice and possibility for the field of organizational development.

Susan Gross will be presenting a half-day workshop Seven Key Organizational Turning Points: Recognizing and Managing Them. Her presentation distills key lessons from her new book, to be published by the Fieldstone Alliance in 2009.

Mark Leach, with participation from Inca Mohamed and Susan Gross, will present a workshop entitled What It Takes for the Founder to Stay. In the workshop, he will share insights from his groundbreaking study of executive transitions in which founding leaders successfully maintained a role within their organizations while stepping down from executive leadership.
